Who we are: 100 Mile Festival of the Arts is a registered Canadian charity that promotes the education, expression and celebration of the performing arts through voice, piano, organ, other instruments, speech arts and creative writing.
What we do: We hold an annual spring Festival of the Arts, workshops throughout the year, master classes and recitals.
Our Mission: Our mission is to foster and maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere in which all participants may flourish.
Volunteers: The Festival and other events are planned and organized by an all volunteer Festival Committee
Financial Support: Our financial support comes from various sources: our patrons and award sponsors, local government, 100 Mile and District Arts Council, festival entry fees, and fundraising.
Young and young at heart Artists: Coached by their teachers and encouraged by their parents and peers, the entrants give adjudicated vocal (including choral), speech and dramatic arts, creative writing, instrumental (including flute, clarinet, violin, guitar and band), piano and music composition performances. We encourage artists young and old to participate in a caring and inviting atmosphere of learning and growth.
100 Mile Festival of the Arts is a member of Performing Arts B.C., a pre-requisite to sending adjudicator selected participants to the annual Provincial Performing Arts Festival. We are also a member of 100 Mile and District Arts Council.
